Although there are as many opinions as there are cattle breeds, many believe that the English breeds – such as Angus and Hereford – finish best on grass. We choose to run Black Baldies (half Hereford/half Angus mama cows) with a registered Angus bull. This gives us a certified Angus, black calf. Meanwhile, the Hereford influence leads to good mothering traits, and lots of milk for the young-uns! (Herefords have been a dairy breed, in the past.)

Sorry for the delay in reply, for some reason I don’t think I received your email through the normal server. We get $3.99/# for a whole beef, you pay the processing, runs a little less than $1/#.
